NDIS

The NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is the new way of providing support for people with a disability across Australia, replacing the state-funded system.

The NDIS will provide all Australians under the age of 65 with a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to live an ordinary life.

Everyone’s ‘ordinary life’ will look different, so the NDIS will consider the individual’s goals in funding the disability-related supports so that those goals can be met.

Visit www.ndis.gov.au to find out how people with disability, their families and carers can check eligibility for the scheme and access a wide range of resources.

Alternatively, you can check eligibility and request entry to the scheme by contacting the NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) office on 1800 800 110.
